Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Marana Vista Academy Entrance

What is Marana Vista Academy?

Marana Vista Academy is a new high school experience for scholars in the Marana Unified School District, offering tailored educational learning experiences that will help prepare them for the future.

What makes Vista different from traditional high schools?

Vista offers a different high school experience where scholars dive deeper into core academics (English, science, math & social studies) and develop advanced professional skills preparing them for future careers, education, and opportunities. Scholars attend classes on a small campus while remaining concurrently enrolled at Marana or Mountain View High Schools, where they can participate in athletics and other extracurricular activities.

Designated learning spaces expand the footprint of Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes such as Business Management, Lab Assisting (Medical), and Dental Assisting. Scholars will have opportunities for project-based, hands-on learning, as well as internships, apprenticeships, and real-world applications of their studies.

Program Location and Structure

Marana Vista Academy is located in a renovated facility updated to provide a modern, flexible, and inspiring learning environment at 8333 N Silverbell Rd., Marana, AZ. The program will eventually accommodate up to 400 students. Vista scholars may participate in electives, co-curricular, and extra-curricular activities at their concurrent home high school (MVHS or MHS), and scholars will explore specific topics, concepts, and skills through their core subjects at Vista.
