Attendance

Sick Teen (High School)

Attendance is very important here at Vista, with the expectation that all scholars will attend classes promptly and on a regular basis to achieve the full educational benefit.  Absences should only occur when unavoidable.  School attendance is ultimately the responsibility of the scholar and his/her parents.

Contact the Secretary to report absences

When your scholar is going to be late or absent, please Contact the Secretary to report your child's absence. Phone notification of a scholars' absence by the parent/guardian is required the morning of the absence or a note stating the reason for the absence within 24 hours.

The attendance office will attempt to contact parents/guardian if the absence is not reported.  In all cases, scholars are responsible for making up missed work, tests, etc. Absence is defined as a scholars' non-attendance in an assigned class during the assigned period.

Ask for a doctor’s note when absent to attend a doctor, dentist, or any type of medical appointment.

Please call us with any questions or concerns.

Thank you.
