Counselors

Mrs. Attebery has been a dedicated school counselor in MUSD since 2004. She currently serves as the School Climate and Connectedness Coordinator for the Marana Unified School District and is excited to support scholars at Marana Vista Academy!

Mrs. Attebery works alongside staff and scholars to increase positive relationships and emotional safety, attendance and academic achievement, safe and supportive learning environments, and district-wide Positive Behaviors Interventions and Supports (PBIS).  She holds a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Resources, with a focus in Child Development, from the University of Arizona, and a Master’s in Counseling with a specialization in School Counseling from Chapman University. She was named the Arizona School Counselor’s Association Elementary School Counselor of the Year in 2010 and most recently received the Celeste Nameth Arizona PBIS Leadership Award.

Mrs. Attebery is a national board certified counselor, crisis team leader, and QPR suicide prevention trainer. She is a dedicated advocate for all scholars and loves helping them build their resiliency to overcome challenges and be their best self. When she’s not working, you’ll find her baking, spending time with her family, or cheering on the University of Arizona Wildcats!
